Ten great things about America
Some of this blogs readers did say in comments and mails that I'm an anti-american. Which is not true, I just don't like the president it right now has. But anyway, I found a really nice piece of writing about a guy who tells what he likes about America and why he's an anti-anti Americanist. Really worth reading! I found it over at The Everlasting Phelps whom I saw first in my comments.

One of the last real stars is gone
Katharine Hepburn died.

She was tough before tough was cool, a feminist before feminism was cool, independent before independence was cool, and cool before even cool was cool.

Stephen Green at VodkaPundit put it in better words here I ever could - he's not just cute he also seems to have a good taste. Yeah - now she really is a goddess. If I were religious I'd send a prayer for her to have a good journey.

How to build a CD-changer?
You remember the klingon ship of the floppy disc? This time we need some wood and a few other things to build a CD changer at home. Whew! What people come up with, when they're bored is really unbelievable. Thx to IT&W for the link.

What's wrong in this story?
I found this reuters story over at zogby:

HOUSTON (Reuters) - A Texas man got 10 years' probation for offering to strangle a suicidal Wisconsin woman whom he met over the Internet, lawyers said on Friday.

Frank Manuel, 55, pleaded guilty to attempted murder, and was ordered by State District Judge Carol Davies on Thursday to submit to a psychiatric evaluation and stay away from the Internet.

Houston police arrested Manuel in January, after a woman he met in a suicide chat group reported his offer to strangle her during sex, then bury her in a grave in a state forest with a rose on her chest.

The woman, with investigators watching, traveled to Houston on Manuel's instructions. He was captured at a Houston bus station, awaiting her arrival with a strangling device and yellow roses in his car.

Attorney Chris Tritico said Manuel took the plea deal to avoid subjecting his wife and child to a trial's publicity.

So far, so sad. So zogby brought up an interesting question when he wrote:

Hmm...private? Yep. Consensual? Yep. Adult? Yep. Does anybody see a problem here? (/Scalia-brand sarcasm).

So, what's wrong in this story? Sure! It's clearly lacking in the consent part.

Consent is a simple word, but believe me, there are people out there who discuss the real meanings of consent over and over for years and they still find new facetts and perspectives about it.

Yes, she did agree to his plans of killing her, but from the moment she is agreeing to a really "ill" thing (or does one say "sick" in that situation?), where she will end up murdered, there can't be any consent, since this woman herself is unable to consent because of her "illness", one would not agree to being murdered, if completely mentally healthy. To me, this is pretty simple. It's the same if a husband threatens his wife with leaving if she doesn't content in... let's say anal sex or something else she would, if not kinda forced, never ever do. Sure, she might agree since he pays the bill, but she is not really consenting. In my case she depends on him and people who are dependant or somehow else not really clear in their mind can not consent to things they would not in "normal" situation.

But we'll never know if it was not just a part of their common fantasy and if he would really have killed her or if it would just have been a hot and juicy game for both.

Same Sex Marriage?
In the New York Times is to find an interesting comment about Same Sex Marriages (SSM). I've been too long with too many gays for not being pro SSM, of course, but I've never seen it as some kind of "refresher" for hetero sexual marriage, like the author points out. I also don't think he's right in this point, but that's some thing just time will show. I mean, what does the practical thinker have thought about marriage before it was use? People who breed and care in this way for the survival of man should be protected. Okay, so far so good. That leaves out all couples who don't have children, all couples whose children are grown up. But I've yet to see the priest who will marry a couple just when the bride is pregnant, which would be the only true sign for wanting children. I've yet to see the first couple, not being able tohave children, cut in tax benefits. Which is not fair. I stay by what I say, whenever a number of consenting adults (2 or even more) wants to put their stuff together and care for each other and children, they should be able to marry, they should get all benefits (taxes, legal and all other) and period. Maybe I do read too much Heinlein for that, but well, I can live with that. I did deciede for a heterosexual marriage but I know people living together in all thinkable constellations. Is their love worth less? I can't believe it. And isn't it love what the whole bible is about? And no, I'm absolutely not surprised that zogby begs to differ ;-)

How did Bush "sell" the war?
Another link from Die Zeit is this one here, where it is shown really clear how Bush did it, how he really sold this war to the americans - I wonder when how many onf them will realize the absolutely too high prize they paid for it.

Great Piece of English History!

The Proceedings of the Old Bailey London 1674 to 1834 are no available in the Internet. For everyone with a bit of historical interest. I wonder the Group Captain hasn't found it til now (or did he and just not told me?)

German Posts
Sonce today I will also post some posts in german from time to time. Especially when it's about topics, noone else would understand.

One more on Telemarketing
Yes, it's really making his journey all over the Blogs. And somewhere I read something like this new Say No thingie would endanger the jobs of the Telemarketers. Hmm... I'm tempted to answer like Heinlein did in one book (wasn't it Farnham?) at this question. When you have for example horses to transport people and one day there is one who develops the horseless motor to build into a car which also needs no longer a horse. Is this guy endangering the horse-breeders jobs? Well, yes. And is that bad? No, for (insertentitiy of your choice)-ssake no! We call it "Fortschritt" in german. Here's also a nice rant about it from Rant O Rama.

Warum nicht in Deutsch?
Top of the Pops lief vorhin auf RTL.

Six Rules for writing
1. Never use a metaphor, simile, or other figure of speech which you are used to seeing in print.
2. Never use a long word where a short one will do.
3. If it is possible to cut a word out, always cut it out.
4. Never use the passive where you can use the active.
5. Never use a foreign phrase, a scientific word or a jargon word if you can think of an everyday English equivalent.
6. Break any of these rules sooner than say anything outright barbarous.

Okay, I'll try. Thx to IT&W where I did steal it!

Still on the Boycott-train?
Oh my, Zogby seems to be still on the boycott-train. He quotes a poll under some a bit rich americans who boycott french stuff. He still thinks it won't damage nobody else than just some french producers. Oh my - could someone, anyone please translate some economy-classes into english and send it to him? And you know what's worst? His comments are down so I can't go and shout over there.

And if you agree with the thousand reasons below
you also might get one of those apology T-Shirts, really fun! Also with a hat tip to rubbernun.

A thousand reasons against Bush
is what is offered here. Well, I'll read through them, but who would be the alternative as long as Hilary won't show up? Thx to Rubbernun for the link.

I really like the look at Vodka Pundit
and not just because Stephen Green really seems to be a cutie, but also he can write as good as he looks. Today he's presenting the interested world his theory of how to get peace at the race-front. It's really a fun idea, but then no one can say "bad luck in games means lucky in love" as we do in german.

A piece of german history
When I was a little girl, I remember those posters "Most wanted terrorists" in every post office, at the local bank and in railway stations and all other semi-governmental buildings. When in 1977 they murdered Schleyer just at my doorstep (means in cologne, where I live and grew up) I knew, this guys were really, really bad! They were called the Baader Meinhof Gang. (BTW - if anyone would have told me then or a little later that the Gangs lawyer would be a german state departement minister I'd have laughed my ass off, now it is just reality). On Astrids site I found a link to an english site about this group, really interesting stuff!

Faked boobs!
"Can you tell a real pair of naturally grown tits from a silicone one?" I got 19 out of 20, how about you? Try here!

If you liked the Orgasm-post and maybe are looking for a virtual Blowjob,
you will like this link, too. Move the mouse around and look through it all! Or you try this here! Don't let your children have a look at it! Or do you need some help with cursing? Find it here! This also it not really work-safe. Oh, you're still waiting for the Blow Job? Or the other Blowjob?

Orgasms around the world!
Be careful, this link is not work-safe, so either use the lunchbreak or do it at home after childrens bedtime. It's a nice flash-animation and pretty funny. I like most the New Zealand and the british orgasm! Thx to Schockwellenreiter where I stole this link.

Gang rape is a sign for good sexual appetite?
Duh? Is there something I missed? Over at his place, the Group Captain has this stuff from bbc, where a Japanese politician thinks, generally said, gang rape is not as bad, since it shows

"that at least gang rapists had a healthy appetite for sex."

Well, what's to answer to that? First - why don't go some really well built guys up there and show this Japanese ?=)((/&%$ how much fun a gang rape is? Second - why don't go some more well built guys there and show this "politician" what happens when a mouth hits a fist with high speed? And third - why don't they repat this several times?
Duh! But serious - this is too annyoing to be true, I mean, I can accept that other cultures feel different about sex. And Japan is one of those other cultures, I might never really understand (and don't have to), but a rape is a rape and - I love this so I will repeat it from time to time: Comparing rape with sex is like comparing me knocking you out with a frying pan with cooking. Well... maybe I'll think some more about the handle of the pan and these Japanese politician....

Blogger moved to dano
And somehow, it seems to work. My archives are accessible, my Blog works, I'm really positively surprised. Well done, Blogger!

Ugly wedding robes
Througha link on a site, Jens linked to, I found this one. Yeah - some of the robes are really a crime.

Genocide is such a hard word...
Another wonderful one from The Onion.

Jesus is always with you!
Oh my, he might really be, who am I to know, but there is an artist who made some drawings how he understood that and he really made me shudder! I found this over at a nice site, which wanders right into my daily reads!

Ignore your teeth and they'll go away!
is what I read today over at The Onion. Really great tipss for dental hygiene ;-)

No to telemarketing calls
This seems to be one of these more american things which has never really made it to the Olde Europe. Sure, we know telemarketing, sort of, but to me it seems never ever to be as a big deal as it is in the US, especially not for private households. The only calls I get are from Emnid for polls and since I love polls I like doing these. Other there are no marketing calls. I have no idea about the legal situation in germany but I can imagine, it's kinda forbidden, somehow. Over at micheles site I found this link to some Not call Registry. Hmm... how come this feels to me like the "unsubscribe" button in spam mail?

Watch what you eat!
For those of you who watch what you eat... Here's the final word on
nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting medical
studies.

1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks
than the British, Americans or Australians.

2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than
the British, Americans or Australians.

3. The Italians drink excessive amounts of red wine and suffer fewer
heart attacks than the British, Americans or Australians.

4. The Japanese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart
attacks than the British, Americans or Australians.

5. The Germans drink a lot of beers and eat lots of sausages and fats
and suffer fewer heart attacks than the British, Americans or Australians.

CONCLUSION: Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is
apparently what kills you.

Dennis over at his place had it and I just had to steal it!

Back!
I'm sorry I haven't been here to blog the last days, it wasn't even the new Harry Potter keeping me off it, it was life and blogger. Blogger moves the blogs to the new system, so they were unavailabe last night. And the night before we wouldn't have had fun with me because I came home a bit drunk and I don't like blogging when drunken.

How could this guy get in to disturb cutie William?
Prince Williams 21st birthday was disturbed by this guy who somehow managed to get in without an invitation. What sounds like a bad joke on the first hand comes, when one thinks a bit harder, to different dimensions. If he's have a weapon, the whole Royal Family would have been killed. Well, some might think that's not the worst what could happen to the US, but I beg to differ here. The Times Online has a good coverage of it.

Taliban? Huh? What did I miss?
Sorry, what is it they're talking about in the Asia times? I do hope, this is just speculation and a "duck" (we call lies in newspapers a newspaper duck in german). The American Prospect has a comment to it. If this will turn out to be true - how long will it last til the US will do the same with Saddam? What was this war in Afghanistan about? Oh yes, I forgot, the Taliban and their support for Bin Laden, and the women, the poor women. Nearly as poor as the Iraqi children. I wonder what these righties will find then for excuses. Links found in Die Zeit.

One of the fuckwits got caught!
Don't get me wrong. I still stick to the definition that whatever two or more soncenting adults do with each other in her private rooms is nobody elses business, but when it comes to child porn, all I wish is bloody revenge. One of these unworthy of everything creatures (can't call them human beings) got caught and sent to jail. Good! I hope he has a long, long time to think what he's supported been done to the little ones. I hope they get every single of these perverted pigs and rip them their dick off. Or something like that.

New Antisemitism in the Arab countries
Usually I have a hard time with the (in my eyes) way too unreflected rightie US stuff, I find at lgf. This time they refer to an article at the Observer about the acceptance of antisemitism. We have to work against this, we have to work against the times where it will be some weird kind of modern again, to spread antisemitic statements.

Did Bush lie?
Unfortunately some people, especially the really far righties, prefer to forget things which have happened some weeks ago. They discuss opinions like: Well, he did not win the election, did he? in a way that they say stuff like: Who cares today? This happened ages ago, he is president now and if that's all you lefties have to whine about, you better shut up.

I'm sure, if it's true what the Washington Post writes here about Bush and his knowledge about the yet to find (if ever) WMD (Weapons of Mass destruction), they will discuss it the same way. Like: Oh well, this happened before the war, and don't forget the children! The poor children and all the other people who had to suffer on Saddam.

Well, if I were a president facing elections next year, this all would make me nervous. Thx to Rollberg for the link.

Another german discussion
I don't know who of you knows the Couchblog. I do, and I'm discussing there with some other about some controverse topic.

Should Dieter Bohlen get the Bundesverdienstkreuz or not?

Well, Dieter Bohlen is the thinking half of Modern Talking. You might remember them, they made tons of songs in the 80ies and all sounded like the one before, so you could play them one after the other and dance Disco Fox til the feet started bleeding? They sold their records around the world and had No. 1 Hits and sold out concerts in places like Soviet Union, China and around the whole world (I don't think they were popular in the US, but I'm not sure). Well, Dieter Bohlen was the composer of all these songs and he also wrote what one could call the text (You're My Heart, You're My Soul.... blah blah blah...). Dieter Bohlen also produces lots of other german and international singers and musicians and he is one of the main characters in the german version of American Idol. The last weeks he had three or more hits in the german top 10 (including No. 1). So, there must be something with his songs, the people like, else they would not spend money for it, or? Now there is one politician being citated with the idea to give him the Bundesverdienstkreuz, the highest german medal one can get. I'd rather see it not done, but since there have been so many other singers, actors and other celebrities who got it, why not him? I mean, he's one of those wit the most success and he earns really big money with it. Why should he not get the medal?
It's said, this thing is given to people who did great things for the germans. Did he? Is having a concert in the soviet union (it was in the 80ies, don't forget that, the iron curtain was still in place) in a football stadium something great for the germans? Is writing songs for the german version of "Idols" and giving so a chance to young people with some talent something great for germany? His friends say he's standing for good german values, for example that you can bring it far with hard work and that you can be succesfull if you just try hard enough. Hmph... I don't know, if that's typical german. He's showing that one can make money out of everything, and that's okay for me. I don't have to buy his records, I don't have to listen to his songs and I don't have to live with him, either. So where now is the point some people have, when they are really upset about it and scream that this highliy valued medal can't be given to someone "like that", since he hasn't deserved it. Who then deserves such a medal? A soldier in a battle? A nun or a priest? A firefighter? An actor? All the called before got this medal. And really, what has "Derrick" done for the germans?

Harry Potter is out!
Since Saturday night children around the world can breathe deep and relax, because Harry Potter is out there and living his fascinating life just for them. All children around the world? Well, not exactly, just the children who can read and understand english. Here we find some bbc writing about the new Potter and well, if Blogging will be somewhat light the next daysm it's on the one hand because I'm really busy next week, but on the other hand because on monday or tuesday the postman is expected to ring my bell and deliver me my copy of Harry Potter. In English. Because the german one will take time to translate til November. Which will make a great x-mas gift for many german children. It's the first Potter copy I buy. I've read the other four when a friend of mine, who had bought them in the UK borrowed them to me. I like it. It's fun to read and since the story of the author is so nice - one could just imagine her, sitting in that cafe, living on social welfare and writing this book, and now she's wealthier than the Queen herself. Great! Aren't we all sure, we could that, too, it's just the idea missing?
What I'm wondering is the price. The books suggested to be sold for 16,99 British pounds. But here it's sold for 16,99 EUR. Usually english books are way more expensive than others. How come, this time it's cheaper? I wonder how much it costs in the US with the weakening Dollar.

The Onion
on Hillary Clintons book. Really funny!

Found a nice site!
By my hopping here and there through the links of the Blogworld I found The Sardonic Subversive. Of course I like the layout of the site ;-), but it's also really great to read. Jump over for a click!

Where is Jesus?
Well, didn't he say where there are three of us coming together in his name, he will be in the middle of us? Okay, This is a great game, you have to look for Jesus and click on him on pics of crowds. (not krauts, crowds!). It's really great and you know there must be something with you when you'll finally read:

Holy bejeezus, you have found Jesus 11 times! You are finally saved!

Yeah! I found him all the time. I might go and look for a job at the F.B.I. then, just show me crowds and I'll show you Jesus. ;-) Thx to Rubbernun for the link.

Antisemitism
Jens has written a real great piece about his thoughts about anti-semitism. He's done it in germany, so have your try on it!

Yeah! What could top peeing beetles?
If you don't believe in UFO's it can just be this. Incredible. And how good it's taken care that it's always too far away to have a look. Will the global village kill such stories and ruin whole print-empires? I mean, there are whole newspapers making a living from such stories. What will happen to them when whole India and Africa will have Internet-access? Whine and die? I doubt. So what else will they do? Or should one ask what else are they doing? Maybe they are leading the world-conspiracy against the Global Village?? I will investigate further ;-) Btw - this one and the boy with his beetels I've found via Londonblog.

Want to pee beetles?
You know, whenever I read stuff like this, I doubleckeck if it's not theonion.com or 1st of April. But well, maybe this guy is really a big hatch for beetles. Who will know? I won't go and take a look myself.

To compare Bush and Hitler
is really a stupid thing. They have so much in common: They are both men, both have white skin and both breathe. So far, so good.
But the rest? Is it fair to compair these two? No, not at all, and this is not because of the common joke that Hitler at least won his first election while Bush failed to do so (you must understand - I *had* do write this somewhere in here, since it's really funny, at least for my wicked sense of humour.).
Both are politicians I don't agree with, but let's be clear, if I had to choose, where to live, either in Hitler-germany or in Bush-USA, there would be no question and there I were, as far as possible away from the Nazis. I don't like much of what Bush is doing, but him being "bad" is a complete different quality of "bad" than Hitler being "bad".

Don't forget this and have this straight in mind - Hitler is responsible for the deaths of more than 6.000.000 people. Innocent people, no soldiers, no terrorists, noone who was in any sense threatening. Compared to this, Bush is really a saint. LOL and that from me! I think, this camparison speaks even more for the feeling of being helpless by the people who are against Bush. They just can't come up with any more idea, than compare him to the worst they can imagine. And that's Hitler. Doesn't speak for their imaginatory, but well.

If I were Jewish I would feel pissed about this comparing, since what Hitler did is pretty unique in a cruel way in our "civilized" world. He organized the murder up to perfectness and let grow a culture where the soldiers of the SA or SS tortured people just because they could. So, don't come me with that. Everyone who uses the word Holocaust in this diminishing ways (Baby-holocaust for abortion, chicken-holocaust for chicken farms and all this silly stuff) from both directions, should be able to do better than to use this. Anyway, here's a link to a report in the Philadelphia Inquirer about this. Thx to Bob for the link.

How to find a pearl in a place full of... well, full of stuff
You remember yesterday, when I was talking about this arrogant stuff a german guy writes on his site? (Just scroll down, since this f***ing links never do what they should here) Yeah, he got more hits than ever before on a day. I'd guess he can't get to his puter because he's down on his knees, thanking his preferred godly entity for all the people reading his site. Well, he'll love my place, if he is able to look up from where the links are coming. Mr. Lilli is also spreading the link at his friends, they all have really a good piece of fun with it. Anyway. Mr. Lilli took the time (shouldn't he have been with his nose in his books or even watching for wondergirl?) and looked up some of the links, this guy shows and he found a really wonderful one, not just for germans, since it's in english. I loved it really very much, so go and see the school of dysfunctional driving!

Get to see the newly developed ibook!
Even if it's a german link, all you've got to do is to follow it and doubleclick on the picture. I loved the futuristic and in one breath simplicistic design. Thx to Schockewellenreiter for the link.

BOOM!
Hydrogen! You have an explosive temper! Watch out
for Arsenics, though...they like taking
advantage of your short fuse!

What Element (heh, heh...) Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla

And that to me! Never having a single clue about chemistry. But well, if it's explosive, it must be fun!

How to write like an arrogant ***
in german. If you are learning german and you might need an example how it is NOT DONE, go here and read his ten (or so) commandments. This is how arrogant writing is done. He might be right in his content but kills this all with his tone. We won't talk about his pictures and why he has a picture-collection of his sister on his page .. nono! And please don't ask why he freaks out when someone clicks on his sex link on his main page. Must have something to do with his late found religious beliefs, but maybe he's just a "verklemmt" virgin, who cares? I found him by a google search on a word I didn't know and well, he seems to be a newsgroup contributor, of course of one I'll never ever be a member of.

When was your last time at a iusy-Festival?
Go here and take the plane to Greece! Thx to Couchblog for reminding me.

Neighbourhood watch
Is your Blog in the right neighbourhood? Well, I had to ask me, when I saw the link at Bebals place and perhaps you are wondering, too?
Then why don't stop you by at Blogstreet and have a look at it? I love these lists and things, even when I seem to be simply unable to take it really serious, like I've seen other bloggers do. Usually I'm not lacking a competition-gene, so there must be another reason. I don't know, I just call it intelligence. ;-)

He's 18 years old and gets it, why don't so many others?

In a country where the poor and old cannot afford health care, in a country where the economy is falling apart, in a country where 44 million people live on less than $12,000 dollars a year, in a nation where 5 million people are homeless, in a country where the entire media system is owned by only six media mega conglomerates, in a nation with the highest crime rate, in a country with the world's largest prison population, in a society where 60% of marriages end in divorce, in a country where 25% of kids under 12 live in poverty, in a country that cut 25 billion dollars out of veterans benefits to help pay for a new war, in a country where the gulf between the rich and poor is growing everyday, in a nation that supports dictatorships in Saudi, Egypt, and Turkey, in a country where the government is full of corruption, in a country with the world's highest teen suicide and stress rates, and you're telling me our biggest problems are TERRORISM and DRUGS?

BULLSHIT!

Found this at Netron who had it here.

Getting oral here?
Rubbernun has a link here to a site, where guys should read carefuilly when their women say, in this special moment:" Hey Babe, let me take that with the hand instead". Or when their girls don't say a word about it since it's forbidden in the area you live or since they're so ... well educated.... that they don't do that at all. Here is hope!

You know all the tough answers?
Okay, yo you can ignore this link, but if you don't know them all, why don't you ask Answerbus? Thx to Bebal! for the link.

Cough Cough
Outch! If it's true what is reported here I start to be a bit worried, actually. I like most the last line of the article:

But now it looks as though time may be running out. Perhaps the only hope for George W. Bush and his Republicans at this point is another terror attack in the US.

It's June 17th

One more on Michel Friedman
just to add a statement I forgot last night - of course it is possible that he is completely innocent and the said to be Cocaine was put there from other people who want to damage him. Right now, the news come up that he has not just used cocaine, but also was very familiar with some prostitutes who were ordered via some women-dealers who abuse the women after they dragged them away from their home in the former eastern block. These prostitutes say they remember his voice and him. And the police found drugs in his house. And they somehow managed to have his name on the tracks of their phone-transcripts. Hmph... we'll see. I like conspiration theories and I always have inmind that this might be maybe one.

Now he's done whining, he gets disgusting
A remaining joy for my gall bladder is Acidman over at his blog. He got left by his wife - if his blog represents some of his personality, I can not just understand her, but even hope, there will never be any person in his life he can take his shit on. If it's true what he's saying about his health I really come to wonder if it is just a problem of Testerone or so. But anyway, at this post he's trying to explain to some guy the guys worth in his eyes. Well, it seems the guy lives on welfare and in the USA you seem to get this stuff of negative taxes and so on. Acidman is spitting and shouting with all he has left about this guy. Here again, I'm wondering how some people support systems, politics and others who stay for a politics and world sight which would have negative effects on themselves. People who support politics they can't afford. Stupid. This guy Acidman hacks on, is really making some good points, the old man in his incompetence, is not able to understand. He claims that he - of course puts every single dollar he gets additional into consume. Sure he does, when he belongs to the small income groups, the whole money wanders back into the market because the consume span is close to 100%. Means, people with small incomes have not much money to safe, they just get around and pay their bills. And I think we all agree that it is good for an economy if people spend their money and don't put it aside (Sparquote) and save it at a bank, or even worse, at home. But my economy-lessons were not so deep and so much fun that I'd like to go further in that right now. Shouting Acidman doesn't care anyhow. He's just fine the way he is (rofl) and period. So be it.

Funny Sex toys
you can find here if you're not too much a fanatic christian. I like most of them, but the one or the other (Baby-Jesus Buttplug) is a tad tasteless, I think but the Diving Nun (hey, maybe a link for Rubbernun?) is really funny. Thx to Bananenprinz fo rthe link.

This goes too far!
Well, I admit, I really spit my coke on the screen and Wondergirl awaked from my hyterical laughter when I saw this animation (put your sounds on!). It's really a nice piece of music. But well, in this song George W. Bush, the president of the United States (let's not discuss who elected him here) is called names, actually he's called the idiot son of an asshole.
By all my dislike of him, this goes too far. It's fun, but one should not do it. Anyway thx to IT&W for the link!

Michel Friedman suspected cocaine addict
German news these days report every little tiny bit about the finding of cocaine at Michel Friedman. Who is he, might some of you ask? He is the Vice-president from our german jewish central comitee (or however this is called in english - it's Zentralrat der Juden) of which Paul Spiegel is president. Michel Friedman also is an active member of his party, the CDU (christian democratic union) and he is - last but not least - an annoying TV-Talkshow host. I like his talkshows but just when people are there I dislike, because he behaves absolutely impossible to them. He shouts, he interrupts them and he is really really very confrontative. He's always soo full of knowing the only right way and always trying to tell people what to do and how to do it. Juergen Moellemann, the politician who dies some days ago while parachute jump, the police thinks it's suicide because they were finding illegal money and other stuff at his house and office, was one of his loudest critiques. It's a shame he can't see what happens to Michel Friedman. The problem is - it is difficult in germany to call an asshole an asshole when this asshole happens to be jewish. I'd never call Michel Friedman an asshole (he could sue me if I did), but he also profited in the past from this bonus that in germany noone was really willing to tell him some hard words because he could well give out but rarely take hits back. Now the german media jump on it, but still very careful and trying to as plainly sticking to the facts as the newspapers politics allow. It's really amazing! So, is Mr. Friedman using cocaine you might ask? I don't know, and to be honest, I don't care, either. If he wants to use drugs is up to him. If I had to live with Baerbel Schaefer (his grilfriend) I'd take more than cocaine to survive.

A german link
I usually don't do that because most people who read my blog are english-speakers, but this here makes me really really angry. Let me explain why:
Students in germany don't have to pay (in general) for the university, they get paid by the state if they can't afford to study on their own or from their parents. One can discuss if this makes sense or not, but that's (very much simplified) is how it is by now. They get the money as a loan and have to pay it back after they're finished and earn money. IF you can't find a job after university or if you're at home taking care for a child (like Mr. Lilli) or so you write once a year and explain how much you earn and that you can't pay back the loan and have it - without interest - put aside for later.
Now the gouvernment made a law where the office which works with this yearly froms from not being able to pay has the possibility to look it up if the ex-students did tell the truth. And - oh wonder!! - there were some who didn't. Some did it accidentally but others did so fully knowing what they did.
And now instead of saying - hey good, so thiefs can get what they deserve - folks come and complain that this is done. They whine about data-security, they whine about the gouvernment and so on. Sorry, but this is really ridiculous! If someone declares in an official form that he earns not more than XXXXX,00 per year (what ever the minimum is) and he gets prooven wrong, where the heck does he have the right to do anything else than shut up, pay the money and be lucky not to get kicked in the ass by anyone?? They got money as a loan and they knew it was a loan - without any interest. Sorry, but this really pisses me off! You know why? I work hard. I work full time for that my hubby can finish his studies. We'll have to pay back this loan, too, since he got it when he was doing maths. And everyone who cheats out of this is in my eyes nothing more than a thief who steals money from friends.

German Guys in american eyes
or so. Tobias likes to this place where you'll find really funny observations two american girls made about german guys on their trip around germany. It's really a funny read and oh so true in many points!

One more on Iraq looting
At his place Dennis made an interesting point in the question of the lootings. In his general post he pointed that he now expects an excuse from the left who screamed after the looting. Now it seems, most of the stuff was well hidden and came up now again. I don't see a reason to excuse, since I'm happy it came this way. I was pissed that the museums and the hospitals were looted while the oil-ministery was well guarded and that's still my point. I don't think anyone deserves an excuse for that. But in his comments he made the comment that he thinks all the art stuff at any museum would not be worth one single life of a soldier who tries to safe it. Hmmm....
I must admit that he's right so dar this single soldier happens to be my son/ brother/ hubby or so. But that's the personal sight everyone has. But let's spin this far. If this art would not be worth that - should then any museum be guarded at all? I mean, the British museum which is pretty well guarded, I mean any other museum where people get paid to - in the end - risk their lifes to guard stuff. More or less worth stuff, but in the end it's just stuff. So this theory of Dennis would lead that there should never be human life risked when it comes to protect stuff? Somehow I don't buy that.

So Jens made my day
when I followed his link to this site about signs you don't want to see.

Wondergirl ill again
so there won't be much blogging at all since I'm half in her room. I'd guess it's an infection and I fear it might be the bladder, but we'll find out soon. She is pretty apathic and is now sleeping in her bed after she got sick a few times at the nanny. Poor thing, she can't just tell me, where it hurts. Actually I don't have much to blog, too, so I leave you some more time for other Blogs on your list. Oh yes, one link maybe - the Group Captain is back again and has posted his actual 100 things about him and shell has done the same for her. Go over and read it!

Will there be another impeachment?
Here we find an interesting writing about if it were lies about the WMD and that stuff. Will they impeach him? another one I found at Rollberg.

One more on death camps
Here is another source speaking about the death camps in Guantanamo. I really do hope it's all gossip, but somehow I can't believe it. Thx to Rollberg for the link.

Sometimes
does this zogby write things which really upset me. This here for example. You know - I don't mind any religious tradition when another linving has to suffer more than necessary. I, too, love my good steak and I eat dead animals, but one does not torture them. This is barbaric! There is no logical reason for the animal to suffer slowly to dead instead of having killed it in one hit. I hope, the Brits make that rule and forbid "Halal" and "kosher" for the sake of the animals.

American Tax
Why do so many people fight for politics they can't afford? You know, I know many people who are way too poor to support the politics of George W. Bush, but they still do. In my eyes they behave like stupid sheep, but of course they see it different. Over at Rubbernun I now found an interesting thing which shows you how many tax you'll get back compared with people who earn tons more money than my average reader ever will.

Europe
There were two decisions pending which get cleared these days. There is Poland, where people voted with more than 50% to get into the EU. Well, if I were in Poland, I'd do it, too. I'd prefer it to have the European countries the same standard in most things, but that also is valid for Greece and Portugal, so I keep my mouth shut. The other one is the British one. The Brits don't want the european currency, they want to stay on their pound. Well, personally I think this is sad (because I have to change money all the time I'm over there), but I don't mind, because it's just a question of time. The Euro is pretty strong these days (overruled the Dollar which brings problems to our exports and lets) so that sooner or later some holiday in the US would be cheaper than in Poland. Well, maybe some day, companies will have moved out the cheap workers of Poland and India and have them move to the US?? Naahh.. serious, I'd think it would be easier for world trading o have two big currencies, Dollar and Euro and the british pound brings just confusion in it, but sooner or later the Brits will convert to the Euro. Maybe they'll wait until the Euro has gotten the Pound. I hope it won't come that far, but who knows?

I know,
I should not read micheles posts about politics, especially when she starts about the "stupid lefties" she uses to read and to teach then in her blog. She's better in tits and drinks and should let politics to people who know what they're talking about (but wait, I don't do that, either.... shut up!). In micheles little world the whole muslim world admires Osama, the terrorist son of the huge and powerful Bin Laden family. In micheles little world, people dislike George Bush because they fear him. What she writes leaves it to speculation if she has the smallest clue about islam itself, about different muslim-directions and groups and terrorism itself. Some pearls of her wisdom? How about this one?

The Palestinians and most Muslim nations trust and respect bin Laden because they are just like him.

and here she offers even more of her profound knowledge about muslims and muslim world in complete:

See, it's not that they hate Bush, Markie. It's that they love and honor terrorism and suicide bombers hell bent on destruction and 72 virgins

So, what leaves that to say? When michele is an example for the average US citizen, even the US got the president they deserve! I mean, she is right in the point there are lots of really silly lefties, but sometimes she posts at the same level.

Blog for money?
Over at IT&W the last week there was a questionnaire to fill out for german bloggers. One of the questions was if we think that oe could make money with blogging. Since I'm a hard believer that one can make money out of everything, preferably shit (for german examples look at Stefan Raab, Dieter Bohlen or Verona Feldbusch) (for english examples take a look at Billiboy, Georgyboy or Justin) I do think that one also could make money of blogging. In his whining Acidman is complaining about his miserable marketing knowledge so that he can't promote his blog in the right way, while michele has an interesting opinion to offer, especially about the methods of Andrew Sullivan. If it is the way she pictures it, I can understand her resentiments. (Oh my, the guy really made 80.000 $ with his Blog??? OMG! Maybe I should work harder on this here??)

You Are Romans
You are Romans.

Which book of the Bible are you?
brought to you by Quizilla
Since we're not yet done with all the bible stuff, I found this. Well, does that describe me? Sometime it does, and sometimes it is oh so wrong.

BEETLES!!
IRL they have a few legs too much to not frighten me, but since most of them are not too tall, it's okay for me. Like spiders, I like to see every documentation about them but start hopping and screaming when one comes in my room. You know - I've made a deal with the nature. I will not kill any animal outside as far as I can avoid it but from the moment any insect or other being that frigtens me enters my space, I'm up to deciede either to kill or at last kick out (hubbies job). It works mostly. Anyway, here's a wonderful interesting and explorable site about beetles.

Tips on how to be bigger than Jesus...
we can find here. I don't think I'll follow the tips, even when I'll never be a big time blogger. But that's okay, too. No I won't start whining and lamenting that I can't do marketing or so. But both is funny to read.

Your colleagues too happy?
Do you suffer from colleagues who are just in a way too good mood? Do you ofter ponder if they have to pay money for the fun they have at work? Maybe you'll find the solution here. I forgot where the link is from, but I really love it! I like mostly the Despair Wear (TM).

One of the funniest Blog lines ever:
You'll find here.

[Sasha Volokh, 7:23 PM]
Note to my co-bloggers: One of you will betray me.

Really great. Thnx to Ted Barlow for the link.

Blogger burps
Is it just me or do others have this problem, too? Since the move over to this Dano stuff seems running, I have times where I can't access Blogger. I hope it's just burping and won't become serious.

Moellemann is dead
WTF is Moellemann will some of the none-german readers ask? Well, he was a pretty popular politician. He also was a minister some years ago, and he usually was where the flashligts were. Tobias over at his place has written a lot about him and his dead, which some also call a mysterious one.

Jews flood germany?
Like zogby reports over here there are more and more jews coming to germany. Since I have worked for the ´welfare office for some years, I've been in contact with just arrived families mostly from the former soviet union, who came to germany since their origin was german, even when they didn't speak a single german word. They arrived here and had a really hard time, because everything was new for them. The writing, the language and the whole social system. PLUS the underlying fear of "the bad german" himself. I was in close contact with our jewish group here in my hometown for them to send me a translator with them, because my russian is more than rusty (actually I can not more than three or four words). So it worked out pretty well. I can understand these people. I mean, where they lived the living was a really bad and poor one. Israel is wy too dangerous right now and it's also, like one of them explained to me, not a good place for new jews who are not willing to jumo onto the extremist seddler wagon. So they prefer germany. They are as safe here as they are in any other country. I'd guess the percentage of Nazis is higher in the US than here. Germany and whole Europe needs "fresh blood", needs young people coming in, because we don't have enough children to survive. If it were for me, more people were to come in here, as long as they were able tomake a living, I would be happy about everyone.

Okay, help yourself books are really hits in germany. But this here goes a tad too far for my taste. Link via Bananenprinz

Play Pong!
Over at Idleworm you find one of his wonderful links and this one - Play Pong - The Movie - is really hilarious!

How can we...
not have sex with treacher but terraform Mars? About Christmas the spaceship will land on Mars and the robots will go out and do their job. I don't believe I'll see the first man on Mars, but well, my mom also would have said that about the Internet in the 80ies, so there's still some hope. I read way too much Science Fiction for not wanting that to happen. But as Ralf asked over in his german blog - we're on the best way to destroy this planet, how on earth - excuse me - could we think we could terraform a complete planet? There is also a group of people - the Mars society - who have a regular go about this Mars thing. Fascinating!

The FBI has been reading my diary
is what Erin has to report. She also has to report some more disturbing things which let you think about what the FBI knows and what not. Thx to Rollberg for the link.

zogby declares Jihad on BlogSpot
Hey, this is really a fun idea! Go here and read what zogby is offering you when you want to leave Blogspot and change over to Moveable Type. It's a really generous offer and I mean that without any irony!

Nothing to Blog today
I'm sure, there may be so many things to blog today, but I'm too tired, it's way too late and too warm, so, if you want to see a middle-aged man whining about how bad the world is to him (and only him, noone else in this whole world has to suffer like him), just go here.
If you want to have a list of nice and sometimes really good lefty-sites, go here and if you want to see Michele celebrating herself, you can find her here. And if you want to read a really good and wonderful funny blog, you might find it here. So, for now please excuse me, I'll be back tomorrow.

Blogs be the new hype?
Well, maybe. Maybe some day Jay Leno will really talk about Blogs in his show. He will be as wrong as everybody else. Thx to IT&W for the link.

The new deck of cards
Okay - good ideas got spread around. We've seen the deck of the top Iraqi regime. We've seen the deck of the Weasels and the deck of the Warmongers. Now we've got a deck of the War-profiteers, which is a new one, at least for me. So that makes two decks on each site. Anyone with a new idea?

Why just does not the whole world love the US?
You know, there really are people who ask that. And some of them really seem to want answers. Like Thomas L. Friedman from the NY Times. He writes a long piece A Theory of Everything. He offers you his theory about why there is so much critizism on the US and he also offers you his mail and asks you to mail him for other ideas. Maybe some of my two or three readers could help him out with a more continental point of view? Thx to zogby for the link.
