Jeder ist Ausländer ... fast überall So öhnlich war noch mal ein Slogan von vor ein paar Jahren, nicht wahr? Und wenn ich manche Beiträge in Diskussionen wie dieser Meine Blog-Nation lese, dann erinnert mich das in seiner Verbissenheit an Winy, der mir Anno 1989 im Schmeller total ernt erklärte, dass ihm die ganzen Trekkies auf den Sack gehen, weil die so fanatisch sind. Auf die Trekkies, die er da meinte, traf das auch voll zu, denn die haben wirklich das nicht vorhandene eigene Leben mit dem Leben als Serienfigur überdeckt. Mittlerweile meine ich, dass man sowas in einem gewissen Alter auch darf, aber damals war mir sowas natürlich überhaupt nicht cool genug. (Und erinnert Euch - zu dieser Zeit musste alles cool sein und uncool war einem Todesurteil gleich) Der gleicht Winy, also, der mir seine Abneigung gegen die Trekkies offenbarte (hatte er nicht die Woche davor noch eine selbstgeschneiderte Star Trek Unifor getragen?), erzählte mir dann, von meiner Zustimmung und etlichen Kölsch ermutigt, dass die Darkover Fans viel cooler seien, denn die seien überhaupt nicht fanatisch, obwohl das die einzig wahre Ideologie wäre und er sowieso schon immer wusste, dass er über ESP verfügt... Ja, Darkover Romane lesen macht Spaß, wenn man sowas mag und ich würde mir auch keine Sorgen machen, wenn meine Süße die irgendwann mal lesen wollen würde. Panisch würde ich dann werden, wenn sie sich die Haare kurz schneiden, nur noch Wondergirl n'ha Lilli genannt werden will oder nur noch mit einem blauen Kristall um den Hals rumrennen würde. Was hat das mit der Blog Nation zu tun? Nicht viel. Vielleicht den Aufruf an die Verbissenen zu mehr Gelassenheit, und das Vermeiden eines "me too" postings zu derartigen Kommentaren im thread. Ganz klar - für mich ist ein Teil des Charmes von Weblogs, dass ich Meinungen lesen kann. Journalistisch recherchierte Artikel kann ich der Tagespresse entnehmen, dafür lese ich keine Blogs. Aber zu lesen, das PapaScott einen Kindergartenplatz für seinen Zwerg gefunden hat, oder das Jens fröhlicher gelaunt ist und Lyssa in Hamburg zum Hardcore-Blogger-Brunchen aufruft, ist für mich viel mehr Bloggen, als dpa Meldungen zu zitieren. Wenn ich lese, was Konstantin über London schreibt, ist mir das wichtiger als was in Fremdenführern oder der Londoner Tagespresse steht. Nicht das ich einen von den Obengenannten kennen würde, aber mir gefällt aus wasauchimmer für Grunden das, was sie schreiben, oder auch wie sie es schreiben. Das reicht doch. Blogs mir Anspruch erinnern mich oft und gern an Winy. Der dachte auch immer, im Besitz der einzigen glücksseelig machenden Wahrheit zu sein. Headscarf ban Since Marcus asked in my comments and some in the mail, yes, I have posted it some time ago, but especially about this topic I'll never be too tired to tell it again *g* The headscarf is not a religious symbol, it's a political one. Political symbols have no place in schools. Period. Personally, I'd rather not have any religious signs in schools, too, but I can live with them. My daughter is 3 years now and will go to a kindergarden from church (Caritas), They have cricifixes on the wall and to prey before lunch, okay. The kindergarden has other qualities I find more important than its church origin. What I would not want to have is either a nun or a woman in headscarf being a female role model for my daughter. As much I respect the decision of any individual to become a nun or to wear a headscarf, they stand for a picture of women I don't want my daughter to grow up with. You get the point? In Germany we have a division between state and religion. We should have the balls to live it. That would mean the state won't any longer collect the taxes for the church, the state would no longer pay for teachers teaching "religions", the state would not pay for pupils going to church at schooltime and so on. Any parent that wants its children to have some religious education should do the same as any other parents who want their children to have some musician or any other speciality-education - do it either at speacial schools, or do it in the afternoon. That's the general state of mind I'm in about this. The special one about Mrs. Ludin, her development to what she is today, her being send by huge organizations to fight a fight men want to have fought; about the faults we in germany have made the last 40 years when it came to migration, when it came to integration, are another huge aspect of this. High Court: Headscarf Ban is legal! Okay, Ms. Ludin, now pack youir politics and move where you feel most comfortable for you. I'm really happy, one of our High Courts found a way against her using the headscarf for her politics and for the politics of other people. (Beware, link goes to Deutsche Welle which has - on my puter - an awful loading time.) Cargo When I was a small child, my Dad worked some time as a lorry driver. He drove for several firms, not really huge trucks, but the in Germany usual 7.5 t stuff, maybe with a hanger. I can remember some days he took me with him, it must be about 30 years ago, when we sopped at a butcher for lunch and had just sausage and fresh Breadrolls. For me it was the best lunch ever, since I wasn't used to that. Just good sausage and bread is still something I'd prefer to many cooked meals. I have no idea what freight we drove, but I can remember one day when he gave me some papers to hide them under my shirt. Remember - I was about 5 or six years old, so this was spectacular. I have no idea if he just made it up or if he was really driving anything illegal or too much or too long or whatever but to me it was an enormous adventure. Solution for lazy people like me I love to read. I was able to read before I went to school, even when I never visited a kindergarten (just for a few months, then we moved). I learned it from Sesame-Street which had just started then in Germany and "Schulfernsehen" afterwards. I had much time to watch TV in the mornings, because I was home alone from when I was four years old, because Mom was working til 1.00 pm. Usually a neighbour came over twice an hour to watch if everything was okay and the other time I played or watched TV. But TV in the mornings was not what it is today, remember we only had three channels then. It was "Third Programm" only and they had "School Television" only. Anyway, I was shocked that all the words I could read I would have learn to write when I went to school, like my Mom likes to tell. When we read books at school, we usually got the books and then read it chapter for chapter a school together, or sometimes we had to read the one or the other chapter at home, but however it was made, since I had read the whole book the next morning, I was bored to dead after a few days and never really paid attention to what the teacher told me about booooring stuff like "Hermann Hesse - Unter'm Rad" or "Mutter Courage", two pieces of literature, I really strongly dislike. But... there was help for tired pupils. There were these yellow Reclam booklets, giving a Summary and some interpretations about a novel, or a drama or whatever we read. Yeah!! I loved these Reclam booklets, they were written understandably, they weren't too expensive, and absolutely worth the money! Even when I belong to the Germans who came to like Bill Clinton, simply because he has such a positive aura surrounding him - and I think, someone who is able to live with such a powerwoman like Hillary has to has something special - I don't think I will buy his memories-book and read it, but of course I'd like to know what it contents. Thank to Nico I found authors giving me (and the rest of the world) "The condensed Bill Clinton" to read. What a great idea! IBM helped the Holocaust? Yes, the Nazis used Hollerith machines to work with the punch-card machines and yes, if these machines wouldn't have been there, maybe less people would have had to die in Holocaust. But that would be valid for anyone who sold the Nazis what they wanted to buy. Be it the automobile-industry, be it oil, be it the Trains or whatever techic else the Nazis used for transport or manage the masses of people they murdered in the Holocaust. What I try to point out is that I don't really see the point in sueing IBM right now, and especially not in Switzerland, one of the countries which made a huge profit with the Nazis. It would be interesting to know where the people who sued come from and where they usually live and why they waited ti today. A complete different story is that Germnany was sued recently because it profits from Holocaust-victims art.. If it's really true that from the remaining arts no owner can be found, what else should the German state do with the art? Sell it, like this lawyer wants? What would that help? The arts would be sold to rich singe people who might bring the art away from public sight. How can one remind better to people and artists if not with showing theor work and arts open to everyone to see? UK Boat Crew in Iran Somehow I'm wondering what they were doing there and why Iran cought them. And while the BBC doesn't ask if, just when they will be set free, Al Jazeera seems to celebrate the simple fact that they will be released at all. Hmmm.. what does that tell me about Al Jazeera? Do they know things we better don't, or are they just disillusioned? at least if I were to live in Bahrain. I don't mind my phone-number, license plate and also mobile number. I just want to know them so I can remember them and that's all I need. I don't care for special numbers, I don't care for anyting else if I can have the number I have for 10+ years. But well, if I were living in Bahrain, maybe I would have Bahrain money and the need to show off, too. Actually, I have no idea if women are expected to have anything besides a husband in Bahrain. I mean, of course would Saddam have loved to attack the USA. If I recall it right, he sometimes even mentioned, what he all would do with the "Imperialist pigs", or whatever he called them. Cannabis-Toter Schon bei einigen Bloggern diskutiert und natürlich auch hier - wann ist ein Toter ein Cannabis-Toter? Wenn ich beim Autofahren eine CD suche, dabei nicht aufpasse und vor ne Mauer semmele, bin ich dann eine CD-Tote oder vielleicht doch eher Straßenverkehrstote? Nicht das es mich dann noch stören würde, aber so im Vorfeld eben schon. Freenet informiert den informationshungrigen geneigten Leser, dass es jetzt den ersten Cannabis-Toten gebe. Mal abgesehen von "rest in peace" Joint Venture, die schon vor Jahren den ersten Haschisch-Toten gefunden hatten, ist das doch wirklich ein selten niedlicher Versuch, die armen Muttis vor dem böse "Haschigift" zu warnen. *ischkriegplack* (wobei ich von Joit Venture ja lieber "Chef ich mag sie nicht" und das jetzt sogar im Spiegel zitierte - trotzdem - "Politiker beim Ficken" höre.) Also, um es mal langsam zu erklären, der Kerl ist gestorben, weil er viel geraucht hat. Was er geraucht hat, war m.E. wurscht, denn wenn er die gleiche Menge THC delta über Kekse zu sich genommen hätte, wäre er einmal viel am Backen gewesen aber wohl vielleicht noch am Leben. Oder hätten sie dann, wenn er an Diabetes und Übergewicht eingegangen wäre, auch von einem Cannabis-Toten gesprochen? Und was ist die Konsequenz? Pur-Pfeifen. Test your typing skills There was a time I was able to type German while I was listening in nearly normal speed. It was while I worked for the newspaper with the free private adverts. People called and spoke on the answering machines and we came in the morning and typed the stuff. Of course we had contests going on who was the fastest typer and since I wasn't the best, I was one of the Top five. That happened in the 80ies while these newspapers were all just in their beginnings so, when the answering machines bought the farm we went there and worked all night through. We sent the trainee to get some beer, some others made some other things with tobacco and paper and ingredients and then the night was ours. While we didn't want the people to realize they weren't speaking to an answering machine e had the biggest fun in imitating the machines speaking. The problem was we had to type as fast as the people spoke since we couldn't ask them to repeat the last words. When whe did just that, people really were shocked that night at 3 o'clock there was a real human being on the phone talking to them. Well... today you expect that the call Centre you've called is available all around the clock. Strange how times change. So, I'm pretty happy to have an okay typing speed, even when my typing in english is faster than in German, but tha's simply because I've typed more in english than I ever did in german. And I know when I hav an hour or so to practise I'd be back at eight fingers without looking (but still with huge amounts of typing errors). The French *sigh* Let me ask me this once more again? What else if religious reasons is there speaking against gay marriage? If there is not such a thing, then why the effing heck is it impossible for those conservative farts to admit it and abolish any idea about separation between state and religion? That's one of the few consequences possible, if your brain works this way it seems to work by those people. But France has this separation between state and religion, so has Germany and many modern states, too. Bypass online registration I like to read foreign newspapers online, but I usually don't register, because I have no idea why they would want toknow more than my gender and the country I'm from. Ernie found a great site, where it's possible to bypass such registrations. Great idea! Europa-Wahlen und so Da hat die SPD ja mal wieder richtig eine Klatsche kassiert. Nicht nur, dass kaum ein Mensch wählen gegangen ist, ein großer Teil hat auch noch Grün gewählt! Na klasse. Das ist zwar verständlich, aber gerade hier in Köln natürlich das völlig falsche Zeichen. Viel schlimmer waren aber die jeweiligen Sprüche der Herren und Damen, die hinterher immer genötigt werden, ihren Sermon in irgendein Mirko zu blasen. Da spricht die CDU von einem Triumph und einem Sieg und wie gut das für Europa ist - Jungs, mal ganz im Ernst, auch wenn ihr's natürlich nicht nach Außen zugeben könnt - Ihr wisst schon, dass das ziemlicher Mist ist, den Ihr da redet, oder? Der Tag gestern kann kein Triumpf für Deutschland, Europa oder die CDU sein, weil einmal habt Ihr ne ganze Menge Stimmen verloren und zum anderen ist die Wahlbeteiligung so grottenschlecht, dass so richtig niemand auch nur den geringsten Grund zum triumphieren haben darf. Ihr habt weniger Verluste als die SPD, das sei Euch gegönnt, denn es ist Wählerwille und darüber dürft Ihr Euch auch freuen, aber alles andere ist extrem fehl am Platze! Nicht nur deplaziert, sondern zeugt m.E. von einer widerlichen Arroganz gegenüber tatsächlichen Geschehnissen. Gestern war ein Scheiss-Tag für Europa und jeder, der das nicht erkennt, hat es eigentlich nicht verdient, in irgendeiner demokratischen Partei zu sein. Schämt euch! Münte von der SPD erzählt, dass es der SPD nicht gelungen sei, ihre Ziele zu vermitteln. Hallo? Für wie doof haltet Ihr die Wähler eigentlich? Ich meine, klar, die Mehrheit hat nicht automatisch den Verstand, aber so doof ist selbst die Mehrheit nicht. Das mit den Vermittlungsfehlern hat in den ersten 2 Jahren SPD Regierung gestimmt, die restlichen 3,5 Jahre aber nicht mehr. Ihr habt in vielen Dingen schlichtweg Scheisse gebaut. Kein Konzept, keine Idee, keinen Plan und miese Berater. Klar, Schrödi muss sich mit den Fehlern rumschlagen, die der Dicke eingebrockt hat - aber er hat sich verdammt nochmal auch drum gerissen, also ist das eine Scheiss-Ausrede, die ich nicht mal meiner Tochter durchgehen lassen würde. Ihr seid angetreten ohne jedes Konzept, ohne jede Ahnung und Vision, wie sich Deutschland verändern soll, wenn die Sozen mal das Sagen haben. Ihr hattet in 16 Jahren Opposition wahrlich Gelegenheit genug dazu, wart aber aus diversen Gründen dazu schlichtweg nicht in der Lage. Und nicht nur das, auch als Ihr gemerkt habt, dass kein Konzept da war, habt Ihr nicht etwa eines gefunden, sondern hektisch rummanövriert und hier und da einen Schritt vor und drei zur Seite gemacht. Ausbaden dürfen das, neben der Bevölkerung, wir - die Genossen, die auf der Strasse den Kopf für Euch hinhalten müssen. Ist Euch eigentlich klar, dass wir uns für Euch beschimpfen lassen und dass wir nichtmal eine Möglichkeit haben uns zu wehren, weil die Leute in vielen Dingen einfach Recht haben? Das alles ist nicht neu, also dann lieber Münte, lass bitte so ein Schönschwätzen, das ist Deiner nicht würdig. Sag doch einfach mal, dass es scheisse gelaufen ist und schau, dass sich was ändert, andere Chancen haben wir eh nicht mehr. Die FDP hat ihr spektakuläres Ergebnis verbessert - ja, was fällt mir dazu ein, ausser dass diese Silvana nett aussieht und auch was im hübschen Köpchen zu haben scheint. Schaun mer mal, ob wir nochmal von ihr hören. Die Grünen.... ja die Grünen... die es wirklich fertig bringen, Opposition in der eigenen Regierung zu sein. Wie machen die das? Coole Nummer. Ich kann das nicht so sehr bedauern - die Grünen haben klare Positionen in der EU, sie sind die einzigen, die sich europaweit zusammengefunden haben und das auch vernünftig rübergebracht. Witziger weise nimmt niemand ihnen übel, dass sie den Mist in Berlin mit verbocken. Vielleicht sollte man Joschka doch zum Kanzler wählen, falls Schrödi nicht mehr will... Hier in Köln zu sagen, die Grünen würden noch zur Volkspartei halte ich ein wenig für vermessen, aber warten wir mal ab, was kommt. Daher - armes Europa! Nicht nur, dass es fast niemanden interessiert, was Ihr da macht, von denen, die gewählt haben, sind auch ne ganze Menge an erklärten Europa-Gegnern ins Parlament eingezogen. Was wird es nützen? One more on elections Mr. Lilli and I were out voting today, we do the voting with vote-o-mats but they're working pretty safe. They're not online, but the votes are saved on an Eprom. At 18.00 our elections close and each Eprom is brought from the election station to one of the nine main points in Cologne where the Eproms are read out automatically and the results are sent to the main Data base from where again it's send to the presentation tool and can be watched via Intranet and Internet. Also at 18.00 the letter votes (is that a word in english? I hope so) are counted out manually, so it takes some time until the final result will be found, but normally the differences are so small, after some time noone cares. I'll be out at work at the City Hall this afternoon, let's hope all will work out fine and I'll be able to come how early this night and not, like last election, late after 2 am. Elections, Elections Here we elect our European Parliament members on Sunday til 18.00 and in Cologne we don't have any local elections. They will follow in September, and it will be a close race between the Conservatives and the Social Democrats here in Cologne. The Brits voted today and some of them also had their local elections. Especially in London it was alaways an open question if Ken Livingstone would get his second term as Mayor of London. If you know this site, you might be able to guess that my sympathies are all for Livingstone and - he really did get it! Just completely against the national trend where his Labour Party had horrendous losses - they were kicked some places from rank 1 to 3, after Tories and LibDem - but Livingstone made it. Congrats London! Congrats Konstantin! In a time where politicians tend to be chosen by the smallest possible air resistance or some similar criteria the Londoners made it to elect a Mayor who dares to use his own brain, who dares to declare his own opinion and go his own way. I don't say it's always right what he's doing, but the case Livingstone supports my theory that all a politician really needs is a profile to become elected by people. The problem is that the last thing a politician needs is a profile if he wants to be installed from his party. So what can one do? Fake the air resistance and show the profile the moment the plan works out? Hmm... strikes me a tad... dishonestly, isn't it? My little theory leads to the prognose that all Schroeder - our chancellour - has to do is to stand by his plans and fight them through. He turns around from what he said the day before way too many times. If he would stand by what he and the party want, he would lose many votes, sure. Votes the Conservatives would ge anyway because it's their positions, but he wouldn't lose also the Social Democrats votes, like he's doing nowadays because they're so disappointed from his turning around all the time. Rest in Peace! Another wonderful voice left our world and won't be forgotten. May you rest in peace Ray Charles! Bomb Attack in Cologne Here in Cologne we have some areas where many turkish people live. One of these areas is my near neighbourhood, one other is the famous Keupstrasse in Cologne-Muehlheim. The Keupstrasse has a really bad reputation, even when one of of the best turkish Restaurants in Germany is there (okay, the best reputation seems to have the Bosporus just around the corner here). Down in the 80ies a friend of mine called me totally happy and said, he found a flat in cologne for rent and is completely happy. When I asked him where it was, he answered "Keupstrasse" and I shouted to him he should have asked me before. I could have told him about the "Bad adress", But well, the reputation was well earned. I mean - the friend was a bit more than a friend and so it came I spent some time at his new flat and had first hand experience about reputation of Keupstrasse. We were living at the second floor so we weren't in danger when the shootings on the streets occured, but so there was never a bullet finding its way to us. This has changed with the years. The Keupstrasse is no longer the dangerous place it was then. But well, for 22 people it became a life threatening place yesterday when someone brought a bomb full of nails to explosion. I had the discussion with my Taxi Driver last night when there was so much police on the streets I haven't seen for a long time. We agreed that it seemed to us more to be a criminal attack than a terrorist attack. Why should any terrorist (and isn't it a sine qua non for noadays terrorists to be Islamists?) want to have a bomb exploding in a street being one of the main areas for Muslims? Naah. I'd say this stinks like organized crime and nothing else. As I said, the next prominent Muslim area is here, 10 metres away and when I went there today, I had the impression people were a tad more nervous, a tad better watching who enters the street and might leave some suspicious bag or pack alone here. Strange feeling. Lumma "SPD wählen" Ja wenn's denn da steht, dann wird da wohl auch etwas dran sein, oder? Ich kann so eine Empfehlung natürlich nur begrüßen, aber bleiben wir mal locker: mir ist schon der Tag gerettet, wenn möglichst viele Leute überhaupt wählen gehen. Was sie am Sonntag nicht tun werden. Das Wetter wird zu warm sein. Oder zu schlecht. Oder Fußball im Fernsehen. Oder irgendeinFilm. Oder sonst was. Da krieg ich Plack! Geht gefälligst wählen Ihr phelgmatischen Nicht-Wähler! Bewegt Eure faulen Hintern in Euer Wahllokal und gebt Eure Stimme ab, denn sonst seid Ihr es einfach nicht wert, das sich irgendein denkender Mensch mit Euch über Politik unterhält. Ich fürchte für Sonntag das Schlimmste - es werden sich ein paar Hardcore-Wähler auf leeren Fluren wiederfinden und allein und einsam ihre Stimme abgeben. Microsoft fights back EU fine I can't see any wrong in trying them to do it, after all it' their money the EU wants to have from Microsoft. But that leads too many open questions for me. I can see the reasons the EU had, but I'm not really sure, they're doing the right thing, because it's still everyone's choice what OS to install. If I can change to Linux why shouldn't others be able to do this or get a Mac? I'm not sure that protecting the customers from wrong decisions is a right thing to do for a state. But that would mean that each customer is an informed one, which is dumb to think, too. So why fining them and not just having them inform their user exactly what he's doing and if there are alternatives? Geschlechtsumwandlung Privatsache? Wie wir alle heute im Law Blog lesen konnten, berichtet Bild, dass auch Strafgefangene sich auf Steuerzahlers Kosten einer Geschlechtsumwandlung unterziehen. Klar, ich kann mir bildlich vorstellen, wie so die typischen Bildleser (es leben die Stereotypen) das sehen. Stefan meinte dann im Kommentar, so etwas sei doch Privatsache... *tiiiiief Luft holen* Lieber Stefan, um es kurz zu machen - nein. Ich habe in meinem Freundeskreis - frag jetzt bitte keiner woher - tatsächlich das Vergnügen gehabt, drei Menschen kennen zu lernen, die im falschen Körper geboren waren. Im Gegensatz zum berichteten Fall waren das alles Frauen, die im Männerkörper aufwachsen mussten, was wohl auch allgemein die Mehrheit darstellt. Keine Ahnung wieso. Alle drei waren, zu der Zeit unserer Kontakte in unterschiedlichen Stadien ihrer "Umwandlung". Eine habe ich kennengelernt, als schon alles erledigt war - eine hinreissende Frau namens Victoria; eine habe ich getroffen, als die erste OP gelaufen war und die dritte war noch biologisch ein Mann und stand kurz vor der OP. Alle drei haben das weder aus einer Laune heraus gemacht, noch hatten sie irgendwie eine Wahl, wenn man die des "Durchdrehens" mal nicht wertet. Alle drei haben einen Wahnsinnigen Leidensdruck auszuhalten gehabt, der durch die Torturen der psychologischen Untersuchungen nicht wirklich besser wurde. Und mal ganz im Ernst - welcher Kerl würde sich "einfach so" den Dödel abschneiden lassen? Weil darauf läuft es hinaus, das Ding kommt ab und wird quasi nach innen gestülpt, wenn ich das mal so platt und un-medizinisch sagen darf. Das macht man nicht zum Vergnügen. Wofür ist denn eine KV da, wenn nicht auch für sowas? Ich meine, was ist die Alternative? Wenn die Leute das selber zahlen müssten, was sie in der Regel nicht können, dann müssten sie mit einer gestörten Persönlichkeit leben. Oder eben dann doch Suizid, denn das ist für viele die einzige Alternative. Sorry, aber für mich hört sich das ein bisschen nach den Leuten an, die der Meinung sind, das Homosexuelle sich gefälligst ein bisschen zusammenreissen sollen, dann geht das auch mit dem anderen Geschlecht... Man kann das sicher auch unter dem Gesichtspunkt diskutieren, für was die KV (also alle Einzahler) aufkommen muss und für was nicht, aber auch da bin ich ein Verfechter der Solidargemeinschaft, denn ich finde es unerträglich,mir vorstellen zu müssen,in einem Land zu leben, in dem man Leute mit wenig Geld am Gesundheitszustand erkennt, ich finde es schon zum Kotzen, dass man das mittlerweile an den Zähnen sehen kann. Offene Ganztagsgrundschule Man kann ja über die NRW Landesregierung viele Dinge sagen, die nicht wirklich Komplimente sind. Die Studiengebühren zur Finanzierung des Landeshaushaltes zum Beispiel halte ich für den größten Mist seit den Ställen der... (wie hiess die noch wo der amre held immer die Stlle misten musste? Griechiche Mythologie und ich...) Aber die Idee der offenen Ganztagsgrundschule hat ihren Charme. Man stelle sich das einfach mal vor - da kommt Dein Kind in die Schule und Du hast keine Ahnung, wie du es nach der Schule betreuen sollst, denn wer ist schon ab 12.00 Uhr daheim und verdient genug Geld um davon zu leben? Ich eher nicht. Klar - es gibt Hortplätze, doch die sind so selten, wie Taxifahrer, die sich an alle Verkehrsregeln halten. Das mag auf dem Land nicht so das Riesenproblem darstellen (die Hortplätze, nicht die Taxifahrer), aber hier in Köln ist das mal locker eine Krise. Jetzt haben wir hier schon NRW weit die meisten Hortplätze, aber trotzdem ist die Zahl der Kinder ohne Hortplätze immernoch viel größer als die der mit. Na super. Was kriegen Städter auch kinder? Nee, is klar! Und Hortplätze sind im Unterhalt und in den Personalkosten schon heftig teuer. So eine Erzieherin kostet ne Menge Geld, auch wenn sie erbärmlich bezahlt wird (BAT Vc, die Leitungen sind dann schonmal Vb/IVb) und eine reicht da ja nun auch nicht. Von all den anderen Fixkosten gar nicht zu reden. Das Konzept sieht vor, dass die Grundschulen sich darum kümmern, dass ihre Kinder auch nachmittags betreut werden. Sei es von einer Erzieherin, sei es dass andere Ehrenamtliche sich da engagieren wollen. Klar kann die Qualität der Betreuung da sinken, auch wenn längst nicht jeder Hort ein pädagogisches Konzept hat, das den Namen auch verdient, aber dafür habe ich die Zahl der betreuten um ein Vielfaches erhöht. Also eigentlich etwas Ur-sozialdemokratisches: Abbau von Eliten zu Gunsten einer breiteren Basis, auch wenn ein Qualitätsverlust nicht auszuschließen ist (was ich so pauschal aber auch nicht hinnehme). Und - wer protestiert hier wie wild? Das pädagogische Personal das um seine Pfründe fürchtet. Da bekomme ich Mails und Briefe von sozialdemokratischen Erzieherinnen, die sich ganz locker und offen dazu bekennen, dass die Idee ja nicht direkt grottenschlecht ist, aber nur, solange es nicht ihre Einrichtung betrifft. Sehen wir das doch mal sachlich - die meisten Erzieherinnen und Kinderpflegerinnen sind ihr Geld wert. Aber auch keinen Cent mehr. Sie sind erbärmich ausgebildet, es gibt kaum Kontrollen und die meisten Eltern sind froh, wenn ihre Zwerge wenigstens irgendwie versorgt sind. Mutet es da nicht ein wenig doppelzüngig an, wenn diese Fachkräfte dann von pädagogischer Unterversorgung reden? Ich jedenfalls freue mich, wenn Wondergirl alt genug ist, eine Grundschule auszusuchen, die an genau diesem Konzept teilnimmt. Und ich freue mich auf jeden Parteitag, auf dem dies diskutiert wird... Duh? Somehow, I don't get this argument line. If Flick really got some of the pictures from his Nazi-Grandfather, what better way than a public exhibition is there to have all people participate? What else is he expected to do? If there were any heirs claiming the pictures, I'm sure they would have done already, so please can someone explain to me what the problem is and how else he should act? Metin Kaplan turned up As assumed, Mr.Kaplan walked in the police station in Cologne-Chorweiler last night. Clever move. He has to register each monday, in case of a holiday the next work-day. Since this monday was not a holiday he could accept (or do Muslim have "Pfingsten"?) and since showing up in a place full of journalists couldn't be what he desires, he choose to make his appearance last night. Yes, he is indeed a clever, short man, let's see with what he'll come up next. His lawyer claims he's way too ill to be deported, he is said to suffer on prostate cancer. But how ill has someone to be when he can live hidden for days or weeks? As long he can sit and go to the toilet whenever he wants, I can't see any problem with the prostate cancer when on a journey. And a flight into Turkey is really a short trip. |
